Our on-site and fully equipped workshops can meet all your set construction requirements and are conveniently located close to each other.

Most of the boats/ships/models which have been constructed for a specific production have over the years been used and redressed so that they could be doubled for sets of other productions.

One recent example of a successful redress occurred in the films "Wickie Auf Grosser Fahrt" (2010) and "Asterix & Obelix: God Save Britannia" (2011) where the Viking ship in Wickie was successfully altered and redressed to look like the luxurious galleon of the Roman Emperor, Julius Caesar.

This section of the website provides a list of available ships, boats, props and sets which can be altered and redressed to suit various production requirements. MFS have a few ships that are sea worthy, others that are tank worthy and are usually constructed onto a "barrel-floating system" and ships that may be mounted on custom-made gimbals in order to achieve a specific movement.
